  Introduction :  
  Scheduled waste is a material containing mixture of chemicals exceeding the threshold concentration/quantity which are resistant to degradation by chemical, physical or biological. The accumulation and accelerating output of these toxic and hazardous wastes will lead to environmental degradation and irreversible damage to the ecosystem. A sound system to manage the disposal of scheduled waste is a “must” for our future generations.

  Who Must Attend :  
The Workshop is specially designed for the EMR, EMS Committee Members and Line Managers who play significant roles in managing the Scheduled Waste for the Company.

  Training Objectives :  

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

•    To explain the Legal Commitment in Scheduled Waste Management
•    To explain how could we work together with KA/Licensed Scheduled Waste Collector to reduce the cost of
     processing Scheduled Waste.
•    To identify Category of Scheduled Waste as per the SW.
•    To notify DOE, collect, label, store & dispose the Scheduled Waste.
•    To reduce the Disposal Cost of Scheduled Waste, as our final aim.

Identify the Category of Scheduled Waste  :
•    SW 1 Metal and Metal-Bearing Waste
•    SW 2 Wastes (with Inorganic Constituents)
•    SW 3 Wastes (with Organic Constituents)
•    SW 4 Wastes (with Inorganic & Organic Consituents)
•    SW 5 Other Wastes


Manage the Scheduled Waste :

  Methodology :  

Group/individual exercises, group/class facilitation and lecture will be used. Life Case Study will be used to guide the participants to identify the Schedule Waste, pasting the correct SW Label,  and to reduce generation of Scheduled Waste at their daily operations.
