  Introduction :  
 
PPAP is one of the core tools of IATF 16949:2016 quality management system. It defines the generic requirements for production part approval, including production and bulk materials. It aims to ensure the customer engineering design record & specification requirements are properly understood by the suppliers and the process could consistently meet these requirements during an actual production run at the quoted production rate.

 
  Who Must Attend :  
 
The training is specially designed for managers, executives or engineers who are required to liase with the automotive customers, such as Proton, Produa, etc to prepare, coordinate & complete the production part approval process as per IATF 16949:2016 standard requirements, as well as customer specific requirements.

 
  Training Objectives :
 
 

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

•    Explain the purpose & application of PPAP.
•    Prepare for the applicable 3 items and 16 records as per PPAP Manual for the part approval submission.
•    Identify the customer notification & submission requirements
•    Use the Retention/Submission Requirement Table to identify the submission level of customers.
•    Recognize the 3 types of approval status for part submission.

  Methodology :
 
 

Group/individual exercises, group/class facilitation and lecture will be used to ensure the participants understand the concept of PPAP & its implementation based on the real-life case of the company. Else, the case study of PPAP will be based on the standard requirements of Proton.
